The Miele s163 is an amazing display of engineering resulting in a powerful,
quiet, clean, and durable "mini-upright" or "quick broom". Designed for both
small apartments and quick clean-ups, its two speed, 1000-watt motor moves 96
cubic feet of air per minute. The cleaner has the standard "Super Air Clean"
filter and can utilize either of two alternative filters, the active charcoal HEPA filter or the "Active Air" (odor absorption) filter. (Option prices are
listed on the order form.) As with other Miele machines, this is a completely
sealed system so it does not leak dust back into the air. It comes with a two-position
floor and rug tool which switches easily from carpet to bare floor, as well as both
upholstery and crevice tools. As an added bonus, the handle and wand may be removed
and the wand connected to the intake port and the handle attached to the top of the machine.
This alters the "reach" of the machine and its attachments so as to more easily reach under
furniture as well as overhead

convert the machine to a "mini-canister". This unit will not accept the optional electric power
nozzle (SEB 217), which is available for the s168.
